The perioperative management of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices, represents an increasing challenge due to their growing prevalence driven by population aging and technological advances. The presence of these devices in the surgical setting carries significant risks, particularly from potential electromagnetic interference with equipment such as electrocautery. Safe management requires a detailed preoperative assessment including identification of the device type, programming parameters, patient.
